Over the past 5 years, the dramatic rise in the internet and social media has resulted in significant growth in medical tourism between Mexico, Costa Rica, and the United States. The primary reason for this is the price of medical goods and services, which have skyrocketed in the USA and have created dramatic price disparities between US and international drug prices.

Atlanta is the capital of the U.S. state of Georgia. It played an essential part in both the Civil War and the 1960s Civil Rights Movement. One major civil right and human right recognized among many Atlantans is fairness. That holds true for medical treatments like bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and HGH therapies.

Residents living in Atlanta who are prescribed HGH therapy currently pay 2 or 3 times the amount for their prescription HGH each month. The same brands by the same manufacturers are available in Mexico or Costa Rica for about one-third of the price.

This page documents the unfair price disparity for this increasingly popular treatment modality for accelerated HGH decline brought on by age and lifestyle.

We are your leading international age management group. We have US-citizen doctors licensed in the US and in leading international medical tourism destinations like Costa Rica and Mexico.

We offer the best discounts for premium brand-name pharmaceutical HGH therapy like Norditropin, Saizen, Omnitrope, and Humatrope.

Some of our hormone and weight loss therapies in Costa Rica are one-third the price as in Atlanta Georgia.

HGH Atlanta Costs are Far Too High!

Typically a growth hormone therapy program will cost patients seeking treatment in the Atlanta Georgia area $1,300 to over $2,000 per month. Premium HGH like the pre-filled Norditropin HGH Pen is much higher.

For premium brand HGH like Norditropin by Novo Nordisk, a typical adult patient will be looking at $2000 monthly in the Atlanta area. See recent US price level directly below.

HGH Atlanta Price Comparison

Atlanta HGH Pricing Vs. Anti-Aging and Wellness Costa Rica and Mexico

COSTCO RX Norditropin HGH $1,244.00

Costa Rica HGH $550.00

Mexico Anti-Aging and Wellness HGH $550.00

The map below depicts the significant price differences for growth hormone in the USA versus Mexico and Costa Rica. For the same medication by the same manufacturer, Norditropin HGH is approximately 1/3 the price in Mexico and Costa Rica.

How Much Does Growth Hormone Cost in Costa Rica or Mexico?

The rate for a Norditropin HGH pen which contains 10MG and 30IU of treatment is approximately $550. For many undergoing HGH therapy as part of an HGH deficiency and age management program in the states, this is one-third the amount paid in Atlanta.

The reason HGH is more expensive in the United States than in Costa Rica or Mexico is the result of pricing models created by big pharma for name-brand prescription medicines sold in the USA. There is no difference in the medication or packaging. The medications are the same and from the same manufacturers.

Who Qualifies for HGH Therapy?

There are many factors that go into determining if HGH therapy is a good option for adult patients. Unfortunately for those living in the USA, it’s more determined by the size of the person’s pocketbook.

Many among the rich and famous are already using HGH for their own medical lifestyle choices. Some of these people include Suzanne Somers, Sylvester Stallone, and billionaire tech entrepreneur Peter Thiel on our Los Angeles page.

To qualify for a deficiency, patients must undergo comprehensive blood testing, a medical examination, and submit a detailed medical intake questionnaire.

Should I Take Metformin on HGH Therapy?

Metformin is the first line of treatment for adult-onset diabetes and is used in some cases for prediabetics. Some doctors may use it as a weight-loss medication. It is currently being studied for anti-aging purposes by leading scientists. See <TAMES Clinical Trials> study.

Famous Harvard anti-aging researcher David Sinclair (Comments on Tom Bilyeu YouTube channel) and others are taking metformin for age management, not as a diabetic medication.

Dr. Sinclair also supplements with NAD+ (NMN) for its benefits related to longevity and mitochondrial wellness.

Anti-Aging and epigenetics (Understanding Epigenetics NIH). Recently a small research study was published regarding key aging biomarkers being reversed by 2 years or more after taking HGH and Metformin over 12 months <Aging Cell – Reversal of Aging>, [Aging Cell – Reversal of Aging pdf].

We do not prescribe Metformin for anti-aging purposes. However, we do follow evidence-based research related to the standard American diet and its influence on glycemic variability and proper glucose control.

Let’s face it, approximately 70% of the population is overweight or obese. Most of these patients are potentially near diabetic (prediabetic) or will be within a matter of 10-15 years.

Reference this one Japanese study on forecasting type II diabetes 10 years in advance. Other research going all the way back to the 1970s suggests the same thing. Detection of Diabetes In Situ, by Dr. Kraft, MD.

We approach health and wellness through integrative medicine. Our physicians pay close attention to various blood biomarkers which may indicate poor glucose control. In those instances, we will assess each individual’s health, and if they should undergo a strict lifestyle modification program. In some cases, Metformin may be a good option for the patient.

Is it Legal for Me to Take HGH?

Our HGH programs are prescribed by licensed physicians in the US and abroad who use best practices for evaluating, prescribing and treating patients with HGH.

Our priority is on patient safety and optimal wellness. We do comprehensive blood testing, complete medical intake, and in-clinic exam. Once it is determined between the patient and their doctor that growth hormone therapy can be prescribed, we continue to monitor, re-examine, and adjust protocols to ensure patient safety, benefits and treatment efficacy.

Is HGH for Sale? Can I Buy HGH?

No, absolutely not. HGH is available by prescription only. It is very rare for USA-based insurance companies to authorize HGH prescriptions. So, each patient will pay for HGH therapy as an out-of-pocket medical expense.

For HGH Atlanta individuals we strongly discourage patients from buying HGH on the street or from an international online pharmacy. Much of the growth hormone bought in this manner is likely counterfeit or not pharmaceutical grade HGH

HGH is a very delicate hormone and it is difficult to produce. For years leading big-pharma laboratories were only capable of producing a close version of HGH in the lab. That type of HGH was 192 amino acid structure. True HGH is a 191 amino acid protein.

Much of the generic HGH sold on the street is not 100% bioidentical. The risk of taking 192 amino acid HGH is your body may recognize it is not 100% identical, leading to antibody resistance which will reduce its efficacy after a few weeks. Your body can build a tolerance to it if it is not pharmaceutical grade HGH.

We only prescribe bioidentical growth hormone(s) from the leading pharmaceutical companies. These include companies like:

Growth Hormone and Anti-Aging for HGH Atlanta

Okay, now the good news for HGH Atlanta anti-age seekers. A new but small 2019 HGH / Metformin research study published in the Aging Cell journal has been making headlines in the news. Probably not since the landmark HGH study conducted by Dr. Rudman in 1990, has a single growth hormone study received so much buzz.

Let’s first step back in time to the Dr. Rudman study released in 1990. This is when famous actors and actresses like Sylvester Stallone and Suzanne Somers began announcing their use of human growth hormone and other bioidentical hormones for age management purposes. Essentially the Rudman study determined the following <Dr. Rudman HGH Study pdf>:

    • Men 61-80 years old injected HGH daily over a 6-month period.
    • No major adjustment to lifestyle was enforced.
    • Improved lean muscle mass of approximately 8.8% was measured.
    • The reduction of body fat was reduced by almost 15%, while their overall weight remained the same.
    • Bone density increased by 7% or more.
    • Skin thickness increased by over 7%.

For Dr. Rudman New England Journal of Medicine HGH Study <Dr. Rudman HGH Study pdf>.

Now, researchers in California have observed key aging markers by reversing age by almost 3 years.

Researchers publish new anti-aging findings discovered when studying improving immune function. Treatment consisted of HGH, metformin, and DHEA.

These therapies and protocols are not proven nor have they been evaluated by the FDA. This information is scientific in nature. Always seek the advice of your physician before considering if this type of therapy is something you should consider for yourself.

Is HGH from Mexico & Costa Rica Safe?

HGH Atlanta patients are asking this question because of concern about counterfeit medicine.

When HGH is prescribed by one of our doctors in the US, Costa Rica, or Mexico, the medication is safe and it is brand-name medication. We are not an internet pharmacy. The HGH medications we prescribe are typically Nordtitropin (Novo Nordisk) or Saizen (Merck).

HGH at our treatment centers are the same brand that is sold in the USA. All our HGH prescriptions come from major pharmaceutical companies. They come from registered pharmacies or distributors in their respective countries.

What's the Most Popular HGH Brand and Its Cost?

Norditropin is the most popular and most prescribed brand of HGH. It is manufactured by Novo Nordisk. The company is headquartered in Denmark. Novo Nordisk is a global leader in diabetic and human growth hormone medications. Patients searching HGH Atlanta can be happy that they can buy this HGH which sells for 3-times the price in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Sensible Arguments for HGH Atlanta Replacement Therapy

This video is a reasonable argument related to the replenishment of HGH replacement therapy in adults.

Dr. Klatz of the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine discusses the modest and appropriate replenishment of HGH deficiencies just as one would do for thyroid, estrogen, testosterone or any other deficiency.

Dr. Klatz discusses how it is a safe therapy and has been used safely for more than 50 years throughout the world.

Frequently Asked Questions about HGH for those in the Atlanta Area

The current rate for the Norditropin HGH Pen in Tijuana Mexico typically runs approximately $550.00 USD.

The current rate for the Norditropin HGH Pen in Costa Rica typically runs $550.00 USD.

The current rate for the Norditropin HGH Pen in the United States typically runs between $1300.00 – $1400.00 USD.

Yes, with the proper paperwork and a prescription. You need a doctor’s prescription and a letter if your medication is outside its original package. The medication must be for personal use. The rule of thumb is approximately 90-days of treatment. The quantity of treatment will vary depending on the patient.

Please see our “Traveling with Prescription Medications” links at the bottom of this page. We link to the FDA’s information, Customs and Border Patrol, as well as the HGH letter our physicians will complete for your treatment when traveling abroad.

We get this question a lot from prospective patients looking to save on HGH therapy. No country is immune to fraud, not even the United States. With that said, this is a new world we live in today. With social media and the internet, more information is accessible to the public than ever before.

We operate very openly on the internet and through promotional material like print media. We’ve advertised in American Way. We are a reputable medical tourism medical group trying to help Americans and Canadians be healthy.

We only prescribe the same FDA approved pharmaceutical HGH brands that you find in the United States. The only difference is the USA must pay 2 or 3 times the price. Why? Because of big pharma’s global pricing models and the problematic insurance model which exists in the United States. Both Republicans and Democrats have demonized big pharma for this practice, but nothing ever gets done.

Recently, some states have begun to take action. Utah recently passed “Right to Shop” legislation which allows its public employees to buy legally lower-cost prescription medications in Tijuana Mexico. Click the link. It is widely reported in some of the press. Other states are looking at similar legislation: <Click here>. Mexico has very good control of their legal prescription drug programs.

We work closely with only the leading pharmaceutical companies. The process has a complete and safe chain of custody when it comes to name-brand prescription pharmaceuticals.

There is no evidence HGH causes cancer. Sugar and the standard American diet of processed foods may have a much higher association with cancer than HGH. However, HGH is the master growth hormone. It should not be abused. If one has cancer, it would not be a good decision to promote growth.

Fear mongering and demonization is not a solution to our epidemic of chronic disease. HGH, like any bioidentical natural hormone, is a tool. It must be used under the supervision of a medical professional. HGH should not be abused. It should be used to optimize deficiencies.

For those on HGH therapy, most patients should embrace additional lifestyle changes as well. The human body does best when it experiences both anabolic (growth) and catabolic (loss) states regularly. Many health care professionals have only recently become aware of the need to go through brief periods of catabolism. Essentially this is a type of fasted state which helps induce cellular regeneration.

Some of the topics we can discuss with patients include proper lifestyle and dieting which are anti-aging and anti-cancer in theory. These include intermittent fasting, time-restricted eating, ketogenic dieting among many others. Since each of these have their pros and cons, we prefer to work with each patient individually to develop the best approach suitable to the patient.

On PubMed you can find the study:

Growth hormone and the metabolic syndrome.

Research Centre for Endocrinology and Metabolism, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Göteborg, Sweden.

  1. Point 1:  The association of several risk factors including, obesity, dyslipoproteinemia, hepatic steatosis, insulin resistance and hypertension with Type 2 (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes mellitus and myocardial infarction has long been known and has been termed the “metabolic syndrome”.
  2. Point 2:  Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular morbidity is the mass of intraabdominal fat. Striking similarities exist between the metabolic syndrome and untreated growth hormone (GH) deficiency in adults.
  3. Point 3: The main association is abdominal/visceral obesity and insulin resistance. Other features common to both conditions are premature atherosclerosis and increased mortality from cardiovascular diseases. These similarities indicate that undetectable and low levels of GH may be of importance in the metabolic aberrations observed in both these conditions.
  4. Point 4: Nine months of GH treatment reduced their total body fat and resulted in a specific and a marked decrease in both abdominal subcutaneous and visceral adipose tissue. Moreover, insulin sensitivity improved and serum concentrations of total cholesterol and triglyceride decreased. Diastolic blood pressure also decreased. The finding that GH replacement in men with abdominal obesity can diminish the negative metabolic consequences of visceral obesity suggests that low levels of this hormone are of importance for the metabolic aberrations associated with visceral/abdominal obesity.

It is important to note that there is also conflicting evidence regarding growth hormone and insulin resistance. But in recent years, a better understanding of metabolism, in general, helps us understand the flaws in prior conflicting studies with growth hormone and insulin resistance.

With more knowledge about intermittent fasting, ketogenic dieting, and fasting-mimicking dieting, and their role at successfully managing hyperglycemia, the role of carbohydrates and sugar metabolism is most likely more of a factor. By managing post-prandial glucose following meals using a $30 glucose meter, most can eat a whole food diet and limit carbohydrate intake at a level that prevents excessive glucose.

Dr. Jason Fung and others have elucidated this subject very well. See the following YouTube video for more information:

Jason Fung, MD:

The combination of proper dietary protocols with HGH is the way future research studies should be designed for reversing metabolic syndrome in patients.

Many women are concerned HGH replacement therapy will cause them to become too muscular. We prescribe HGH replacement only within the normal physiological range. HGH is not a miracle drug that produces extreme muscle mass. If taken properly, there should be no major negative side-effects.

When we prescribe HGH, we follow up with patients and do blood testing. The goal is to treat so levels are within the upper physiological range of the optimal zone.

The Dr. Rudman HGH study published in the New England Journal of Medicine showed that HGH helped improve body composition and muscle mass in aging men. The study looked at men from 61 years of age to 81 years. They were given HGH therapy for 6 months. After the 6 month period, the average muscle gained was 8.8%. Fatloss was almost 15%.

Download original Rudman HGH Study: <Click here>.

For years clinics were ridiculed for using the term anti-aging. Especially if there was any relationship to human growth hormone replacement therapy. HGH is not an anti-aging drug per se. Anti-Aging is not fully defined.

Reversing chronological age is impossible. However, biological aging is different than chronological aging and there is much debate about what constitutes biological age.

Scientists like Dr. David Sinclair of Harvard and others have repeatedly replicated longevity using animals. Most of these animals studied have very similar metabolic pathways as humans.

More recently, HGH was involved in a small 2019 anti-aging study. The study was published claiming 1 year on HGH, metformin, and DHEA resulted in an average reduction in epigenetic age of 2-2.5 years. <Download Study pdf>.

You may also be interested in the 1990 HGH research study by Dr. Rudman published in the New England Journal of Medicine. It looked at men from age 61-81 over 6-months on HGH therapy. This is what they found:

  1. Fatloss 14.4% (important for aging metabolism and longevity)
  2. Lean muscle mass increased by 8.8% (important for avoiding sarcopenia)
  3. Bone density increased by 1.7% (important for the avoidance of osteoporosis, bone tissue damage, hips, knees, etc.)
  4. Skin thickness increase by 7.1% (Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles)

Yes. Norditropin is naturally the most popular brand. It comes prefilled in the No. 1 HGH delivery system and is the easiest and most convenient to use. Other brands we routinely prescribe are:

  1. Saizen by Merk.
  2. Humatrope by Eli Lilly.
  3. Omnitrope.
  4. Zomacton by Ferring.

The best search engines for consumers looking for the best HGH costs are:

  1. Duckduckgo.com
  2. Bing.com
  3. Yahoo.com

Google has been a leader for so long that many search engine optimization people have gamed their algorithms. In order to offset that Google has implemented newer criteria in 2019 called “EAT.” EAT is an acronym for:

  • Expertise — How knowledgeable the site owner or content author is on the subject matter they talk about. This is especially important for the aforementioned YMYL sites, not so much for gossip websites or similar.
  • Authoritativeness — The credibility of the website publishing the content. This includes any credentials, outside reviews, testimonials etc.
  • Trustworthiness — Examines how trustworthy the site in question is. It means overall site quality and especially factors like site security.

Basically one gets to see a lot of Mayo Clinic dogma demonizing HGH for bodybuilding or old outdated New York Times articles talking about old news. Few dissenting views or alternative views are seen on the first pages of Google Search, but they should be. When you search Duckduckgo or Bing, you get more up-to-date variety.

from people that are making a positive difference in biotech like Peter Thiel and others. If the point of view is unconventional, then you better have very high authority backlinks. Usually, this can be done simply by aligning with a few old webmasters that operate various websites that link to the website.

With that said, when the other search engines are used for alternative medical therapies, you will get a much richer mix of good content related to what you are searching for.

We always recommend more than one source or opinion before taking a medical decision. That means getting your sources for more than one search engine

Cost Benefits of the HGH with us

Let’s face it, for many HGH is too expensive. Unless you are a Hollywood A-lister or billionaire tech entrepreneur, it isn’t a viable option unless you seek treatment abroad.

We operate age management treatment centers in the US and in other countries. This enables us to treat at far lower rates than other age management groups. Lifestyle Recommendations while on Therapy

Avoid fad diets and processed foods. If weight loss is needed, we prefer to use intermittent fasting, fasting-mimicking dieting, or the ketogenic diet. We like to see patients get into healthy nutritional ketosis periodically to support the beneficial role of cell apoptosis and autophagy.

  • We discourage smoking and heavy drinking. For those who wish to continue to drink, we recommend refraining from alcoholic beverages with sweetened mixers or that are high in carbohydrates. Red wine and clear alcohols generally have less impact on glycemic variability, and this will help while striving to improve body composition.
  • Eat whole foods and avoid processed foods.
  • Avoid fruit juices and other types of sugary beverages. Many of these so-called healthy juices are packed with sugary-carbohydrates that elevate blood sugars and insulin response, making fat loss more difficult.
